- We use a Italian cowhide with typical grain when the manufacture of our handmade desk mats. Dabei the hides also come from Germany and Austria.
- The leather can be cleaned with water and a soap solution (e.g. washing-up liquid).
- The leather has been manufactured with special attention to the surface stability. This creates the optimum writing surface without losing losing its pleasant soft feel.
- The reverse of the desk mat is made from a non-slip material which ensures a secure hold even on glass tables.
- We have not included purposefully decorative stitching, as the insertion of the needle dries out the leather and it to lose its firmness. Laying the arm on the mat would sooner or later damage the decorative stitching.
Each mat comes with a 50: 50 blend of paste (Pure Plant Based Glue with approx. 95% of water content) and a Wasserhaltigen and Unplasticised emulsion adhesive around a cardboard core tape and even in damp conditions with approx. 1.5 T Weight eingepresst. At the same time Verfestigt the leather, without sacrificing any soft surface.
